Moulded holsters are excellent until you change sidearm, at which point they become an expensive paperweight. Given how often airsoft players swap pistols — a Glock this season, a Hi-Capa next — a holster that only fits one gun is a poor investment.

The Legion takes the adjustable approach. Retention is set to the gun rather than moulded around it, so a range of pistol shapes and sizes fit securely, and the same holster survives a change of sidearm.

It mounts to a belt or a rig, and the retention adjusts so the pistol is held firmly enough to survive going prone but releases cleanly when you actually want it.

Adjustable holsters trade a little of the instant draw of a moulded shell for fitting a range of guns. Set the retention properly before you play — too loose and you will lose the pistol going prone, too tight and you will not draw it cleanly. If your pistol has a mounted optic or a light, check clearance before ordering.
