Foam is the part of a hard case that wears out first. Pick and pluck is a one-way process, so the day you change rifle or get a layout wrong, the cubes you pulled are gone for good. Wave foam compresses and tires over years of a case being packed and stacked. Replacing the foam costs a fraction of replacing the case.
These are Nuprol's own OEM foam sets cut for the Premium rifle case, so they drop straight in and fill the shell properly instead of sliding around like generic sheets trimmed to fit. Construction is polyurethane, which holds its shape and absorbs shock rather than crumbling.
You have a choice of two interiors. Pick & Pluck is pre-perforated into small cubes so you press out a bespoke cavity around your rifle, optics and magazines — slower to set up, unbeatable once done. Wave is the egg-crate profile that cushions from both halves and grips whatever you put in, with no setup at all and the flexibility to change contents whenever you like.
Choose the size to match your case, and the foam style to match how you work. If you are switching an existing case from wave to pick and pluck (or back), this is how you do it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I tell a Premium case from an Essential?
Premium cases have dual-stage compression latches, a pressure relief valve for air travel, and 10mm padlock eyelets. Essential cases use simpler slide latches and 6mm eyelets. Send us a photo if you are unsure.
Should I pick wave or pick and pluck?
Wave if you want to drop different things in and out without setup. Pick and pluck if the case carries one specific loadout and you want everything held in its own recess.
How do I shape pick and pluck foam?
Lay the rifle on top, mark the outline, then press and pull the pre-cut cubes in small groups, test-fitting as you go. Removed cubes cannot be put back.
Can I put pick and pluck foam in a case that came with wave?
Yes. The foam sets are interchangeable within the same case range and size, so you can convert a case either way.
