- description
Olive drab is the one that earns its keep in June. Against green canopy and undergrowth, a dark belt draws a line straight across the widest part of your silhouette; OD does not. It is a less fashionable choice than Multicam and a considerably more effective one on a British summer site.
What makes the belt rigid enough to hold a holster upright is the pairing of the two layers. The inner threads through your trouser loops and presents loop Velcro outwards; the outer wraps over it, hook Velcro inwards, and the two lock together across their full length. Nothing rotates, nothing sags, and the holster stays indexed where you set it.
Slots in the Gen 2 outer are cut through the laminate by laser, which keeps the whole assembly flatter against the body than an older sewn-webbing design. Count on 18 to 24 rows of attachment depending on the size you take. The AustriAlpin Cobra closure carries a 4000lb rating and opens under load without binding.

Frequently asked questions
How do I pick a size? Measure your waist and order that number. A 34″ waist is the Medium. Each belt lets out roughly 6″ past nominal, which covers a winter base layer.
Is OD green the same as ranger green? No, and it is worth knowing. OD is warmer and browner; ranger green is cooler and greyer. They sit beside each other perfectly well but they are not a match.
Can I take the outer belt off and wear it alone? Physically yes, but there is then nothing for the hook Velcro to bite on and the belt will move. The system only works as a pair.
