Raven Evolution are a Canadian brand that have quietly built a name for value AEGs that punch above their price, and the NEO RIS Carbine is a fine example. It's a full-metal M4 with a railed RIS handguard, finished in black, and it arrives skirmish-ready with internals that many guns only gain after an upgrade.
The LEVIN metal gearbox runs an 18:1 gear set on 8mm metal bearings, a full-metal-tooth piston and a high-torque motor, with a true quick-change spring so power adjustments don't mean a strip-down. A Furion MOSFET and 16-gauge silver-coated wiring sharpen the trigger and protect the contacts, while a 6.03mm precision inner barrel and rotary hop-up keep it accurate.
What's on the outside
The RIS handguard gives four rails for grips, lights and lasers, and the M4 furniture, controls and crane stock are all standard-pattern, so accessories and magazines carry straight over. It feeds from M4/M16-pattern magazines.

It's a lot of gun for the money and a sensible first proper M4, with a quick-change spring and V2-compatible internals that make upgrades and site-limit changes painless. Runs well on a LiPo.
