The Remington 870 is the most produced shotgun in history and the definitive breaching tool for entry teams worldwide. The Breacher is its shortest, most aggressive incarnation: no stock, just a pistol grip and a stubby barrel, built for kicking through doorways and fighting in corridors. Tokyo Marui's replica captures that in full metal at 1:1 scale.
What makes it special is the firing system. A flick of a switch sets it to discharge either 3 or 6 BBs simultaneously with each trigger pull, so you get a genuine shotgun spread rather than a single pellet. Every BB launched passes through Tokyo Marui's double hop-up system, which is why the M870 holds its grouping far better than the cheap multi-shot shotguns it competes against.
Being gas-operated rather than spring-powered changes how it plays entirely. There is no heavy spring to fight, so the fore-end racks smooth and fast, and you can chain follow-up shots at a speed a spring gun simply cannot match — all with that unmistakable clunk-click that makes people turn round in the safe zone. The gas tank hides inside the pistol grip, removable and quick to swap.
It feeds from a shot-shell-shaped magazine holding 30 BBs, which works out at ten trigger pulls in 3-round mode or five in 6-round mode before you reload. Crucially it takes the same shells as Tokyo Marui's spring shotguns, so spares are cheap and easy to source. For CQB, breaching roles and anyone who wants a sidearm-sized primary with real presence, it is the benchmark.
What's on the outside
Full-metal receiver and barrel with a metal magazine tube, finished in black with Tokyo Marui medallions on both sides. There is no stock — just an ergonomic pistol grip housing the removable gas tank — and a 20mm rail sits on top of the receiver for optics.

Good to know before you buy
One 30-round shell is supplied, so a couple of spares are worth having if you plan to run it as a primary — it takes standard Tokyo Marui spring-shotgun shells, which are inexpensive and widely available. It also runs on HFC134a rather than green gas, so check you have the right gas before your first game (see the note below). If you want to feed it from M4 magazines instead of shells, adapters exist for this exact platform.
Frequently asked questions
What gas does it take?
HFC134a. Tokyo Marui specify it explicitly for this shotgun, and running standard green gas puts far more pressure through the mechanism than it was designed for, which risks damaging it. Stick to 134a.
How many shots do I get per shell?
Each shell holds 30 BBs. In 3-round mode that gives you ten trigger pulls, and in 6-round mode five. The gun holds one shell at a time and one is included.
Does it need UKARA?
Yes. It is a realistic imitation firearm, so you will need UKARA registration or another valid defence to buy it. We verify at checkout.
Can I use M4 magazines with it?
Not as standard, but adapters are made for the M870 and Breacher platform that let it feed from M4 mags instead of shells — a popular conversion if you want to run it as a primary without constant shell reloads.
Is it good for CQB?
It is built for it. At 515mm with no stock it is barely longer than some pistols, and the 3-or-6 BB spread with a fast pump action is very effective at close range.
