Tokyo Marui MP7A1 GBB — Black. Tokyo Marui’s gas blowback take on the H&K MP7A1, driven by a large-diameter piston that throws the bolt hard on every shot while drawing about as much gas as a handgun. Forty-round die-cast magazine, four-position stock, folding foregrip, and a hop dial that hides inside the ejection port.

What separates this from most gas SMGs is the engine. Tokyo Marui built it around a piston of roughly 16mm diameter, and paired it with a short-stroke gas piston action that moves visibly as the bolt travels. The recoil impulse is unusually hard for the gas it burns — consumption sits closer to a pistol than to a full-size gas rifle, which is what makes a 40-round magazine last a sensible length of time on a skirmish day. Run the charging handle to chamber the first round, and the bolt stop holds the action open the moment the magazine empties.

The hop adjustment is the detail owners tend to talk about. Rather than hanging a dial off the outside of the receiver, Tokyo Marui tucked it inside the ejection port: lift the trigger and the dial presents itself, so nothing interrupts the lines of the gun and nothing snags. Tokyo Marui hold a patent application on the mechanism. The KSK sights detach entirely, the front adjusts for elevation and the rear for windage, and both fold flat the moment you put an optic on the top rail. Field-stripping follows the real sequence closely enough to be worth doing slowly the first time.

Ambidextrous handling is genuine rather than nominal: the selector and the magazine catch are both reachable from either side, which matters more on a compact PDW than it does on a rifle, because the gun spends its life close to the body and gets passed between hands in confined space. The A1-type stock pulls out to four positions, the foregrip folds away when you want the smallest possible package, and there are 20mm metal rails on the top face and both flanks for lights, optics and anything else the loadout calls for.

⚠ Gas: Tokyo Marui specify their own HFC134a or non-fluorocarbon gas for this model, and that is what we would run in it. Higher-pressure green gas works but loads the blowback unit harder over time, so if you use it, expect to service the gun sooner.
⚠ UKARA: As a realistic imitation firearm, this product requires UKARA registration or a valid defence. We verify at checkout. Register by playing 3 games over 56+ days at Skirmish Wycombe Airsoft.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Buy a spare 40-round magazine before your first game — one magazine is not a skirmish. If you plan to run it on air instead, we carry HPA adapters for this platform, and the gas we recommend lives in our gas range.
