A Vanguard loader handles M4, M16 and AK mid-caps straight out of the box, but gas magazines have a completely different feed port. This adaptor bridges that gap, so pistol and gas rifle magazines load and unload as quickly as everything else.
It works in both directions, which matters more with gas than with AEG mags. Emptying a gas magazine before storage is good practice and normally means shaking BBs into your palm; with the adaptor fitted the loader strips it in seconds.
Vanguard have confirmed compatibility across the common platforms, and in practice it fits far more than the tested list. Some magazines seat more easily than others - if you find one that works well or one that does not, tell us and we will pass it on.

Good to know before you buy
Adaptor only - it needs a Vanguard electric speedloader to work. If you also run high-cap, PTW or awkwardly-shaped magazines, the four-adaptor bundle works out cheaper than buying the adaptors individually.

Does it work with any Vanguard loader?
Yes, it fits the Pro, the Mk2 and the MAX.
Can it empty a magazine as well as fill it?
Yes, and that is one of the better reasons to own it - stripping a gas magazine before storage takes seconds instead of shaking BBs out by hand.
Do I need this for mid-caps?
No. M4, M16 and AK mid-caps load straight from the standard output tube without any adaptor.
