A .308-pattern marksman rifle with the bottle in the stock. SR-25 magazines, a 380mm inner barrel and a two-position selector that gives you safe and semi only — then the WRAITH X air system on the back so there is nothing running to a rig.

The MTW-308 is a different receiver set from the M4 guns, not a longer version of one. Wolverine machine it from billet for SR-25 pattern magazines, which is what makes it read correctly as an M110 or SR-25 build rather than an AR-15 with a long barrel on it.

It is semi only by design. The selector is a two-position short ambi unit offering safe and semi-auto, and the board carries dedicated 308 firmware. For a marksman role that is the right answer, and at UK sites it is usually the required one anyway, so nothing is lost to the restriction.

The Unleashed trim then does to this gun what it does to the Billet: the air system comes fitted. A WRAITH X tank stock holds a 13/3000 bottle in a rubber-lined clamp with a STORM Category 5 regulator built in, rated 60 to 180 PSI, feeding forward through a short internal airline. On the 308 that connection runs through Wolverine's own 308 adapter as part of the factory build.

At 5.6lb it is the heaviest MTW in the range and it feels like a marksman rifle rather than a carbine. The 14.5-inch outer barrel takes a 1.5-inch extension to reach a legal muzzle length on a real rifle, and the 13-inch MK-1 rail carries M-LOK on seven sides for a bipod, a bag rider or whatever else a longer gun ends up wearing.

Frequently asked questions

Why is it semi only? The selector has two positions, safe and semi, and the 308 firmware is built around that. It suits the marksman role the gun is designed for, and it is what most UK sites ask for on a DMR anyway.

Do I need to buy any air kit? No. The bottle, the regulator and the stock that holds them all come fitted. You need two CR123 cells for the grip and somewhere to fill the bottle.

Which spare magazines fit? Wolverine state A&K and Classic Army style SR-25 AEG magazines, and the PTS EPM-LR SR25 fits as well. Empty-mag detection works with their own MTW-Spec 308 magazine.

Is the engine the same as the XB? No. The Unleashed runs an INFERNO Gen 2 on a Spartan board with 308 firmware. The XB and XBR are the XTS and BLINC pairing.

How heavy is it really? Wolverine quote 5.6lb, which is about 2.54kg, and that is before a magazine. It is the heaviest gun in the MTW range and it handles like one.

Can I fit a QUAKE recoil stock? Not alongside the WRAITH X. The QUAKE needs an INFERNO XTS and the stock position is taken by the tank. Ask us before ordering either.

⚠ Never put bottle pressure straight into the engine. On this gun the STORM Category 5 inside the WRAITH X stock is what protects it, so set your output on that gauge before you shoot, and chrono at the site every time.
