Of all the MTW barrel options, the 10″ SBR is the one most players settle on. It is compact enough to run through buildings and tight woodland lanes, but keeps enough rail and sight radius to stay comfortable at normal field ranges — a genuine all-rounder rather than a dedicated CQB or DMR build. The Tactical trim is what separates this from the Standard: a DLG real-steel pistol grip, a heavy-duty milspec stock and a steel flash hider, so it handles and looks the part without touching the internals.
The receiver is cut from solid 6061 aluminium rather than cast or moulded, and that matters for more than looks. Machining to this tolerance is what lets the MTW hold Wolverine’s Intrinsic Alignment — engine, hop-up, nozzle and inner barrel sit on one true axis straight from the factory, with no shimming to chase. The Gen 3 receiver refines the finish and tolerances again while staying fully back-compatible with every MTW-Spec part.
Power comes from the proven INFERNO Gen 2: a single-solenoid, hybrid open/closed-bolt engine that holds shot-to-shot consistency across a long game day. Through the Spartan control board the output adjusts from 5 to 35 RPS across an 80–140 psi window, so you can drop it to your site’s chrono limit and open it back up for the field. And because it is MTW-Spec, the upgrade path is wide open — drop in an INFERNO XTS engine, a BLINC Bluetooth board, a QUAKE recoil stock or a WRAITH X kit whenever you want more.
What’s on the outside
The Tactical trim dresses the billet receiver in a 10″ Invictus MK-2 M-LOK rail, a DLG real-steel pistol grip, a heavy-duty milspec stock and a steel flash hider on a 14mm CCW thread. The receiver keeps the details that make the MTW feel like an AR — a locked charging handle, forward assist and functional dust cover — and takes real-steel AR grips, stocks and rails directly.

You will need an HPA tank, a regulator set inside the 80–140 psi window and a line to run it — none are included. Prefer we set it up? Our HPA tech service can do that. Want phone-based tuning out of the box? Step up to the XB, which ships with the INFERNO XTS engine and a BLINC Bluetooth FCU.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need UKARA to buy this?
Yes — it’s a realistic imitation firearm, so you’ll need a UKARA registration or another valid defence, which we confirm before dispatch.
What do I need to run it?
An HPA tank (68ci is our pick), a regulator set to 80–140 psi and a line, plus a 7.4V mini LiPo for the FCU and standard M4 AEG magazines. None of those are included.
Can I set the power and rate of fire?
Yes — the Spartan FCU adjusts from 5 to 35 RPS at 80–140 psi, so you can tune it down to your site’s chrono limit and back up for open play.
How does the Tactical differ from the Standard and the X/XB?
Tactical adds the DLG grip, milspec stock and steel flash hider over the Standard, with the same Gen 2 engine and Spartan FCU. The X and XB step up to the INFERNO XTS engine (and, on the XB, a BLINC Bluetooth FCU).
