The BOLT runs without an FCU, which means its entire electrical system is this harness and the microswitch on the end of it. When a BOLT stops firing, the engine is rarely the problem — it is a broken conductor inside the stock or a microswitch that has stopped making contact.
Because this kit ships complete, you are not diagnosing which half has failed. Swap the loom, refit, done. The solenoid jumper pigtail is in the box too, which is the small connector most people discover is missing halfway through the job.
It is a sensible thing to own before you need it. A harness fault is invisible from outside the rifle and there is no workaround in the field.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy just the microswitch? Not as a separate part from us. It comes as part of this loom, which is generally what you want anyway — the wiring and the switch age together.
Does the BOLT need an FCU? No. The BOLT is mechanically timed and this harness is its complete electrical system.
Will it work on a BOLT M? The BOLT M uses the same solenoid family but confirm the loom routing on your build before ordering — stock layouts differ.
