CO2 Upgrade Kit — turns an existing WRAITH X into a cartridge-fed rifle. Runs 12g or 33g cartridges, and opens the platform up to milspec stocks.

The WRAITH X was designed around a compact tank living inside a purpose-made stock. That is a superb arrangement for speedsoft and for anyone who hates a line, but it does tie you to one stock and to filling a tank between games. This kit changes the proposition: it swaps the tank arrangement for a CO2 cartridge system, so a spare cartridge in a pouch replaces a trip to the fill station.

Because the kit is built around a milspec buffer tube, it also removes the stock restriction. Anything that fits a standard AR buffer tube will go on, which for a lot of builders is reason enough on its own — the WRAITH X handling with a stock you actually chose.

The expansion chamber is the part doing the real work. CO2 leaves a cartridge cold and at wildly varying pressure; the chamber gives it somewhere to stabilise before it reaches the regulator, which is what keeps shot-to-shot consistency respectable rather than erratic.

What is in the kit

Component Detail
Buffer tube Milspec, accepts standard AR stocks
Expansion chamber CO2 stabilisation before the regulator
Cartridge holder 12g holder with magnetic cap
Cartridge sizes 12g and 33g
Also included Allen wrench, o-ring kit
Regulator not included. This is an upgrade for people who already own a WRAITH X kit and therefore already have the regulator. It is not a complete standalone system.

Frequently asked questions

Do I keep the ability to run a tank afterwards? Yes — the original components are not consumed by fitting this, so you can move back to the tank stock whenever you prefer.

How many shots from a cartridge? Wolverine publish no figure, and it varies enormously with pressure, dwell and ambient temperature, so we will not invent one. Expect a 33g to go considerably further than a 12g.

Is CO2 allowed at every site? Not always. Some sites restrict cartridge systems, and cold weather affects consistency. Check with your site before committing to a CO2 build.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Cartridge systems reward a slightly lower operating pressure than a tank build — start conservative and work up. See our HPA regulators and the complete HPA guide.
