Support weapons are where HPA makes the most difference — sustained fire destroys AEG gearboxes, and regulated air does not care how long you hold the trigger. But an M249 is a bigger, longer gun than an M4, and the wiring run inside it is correspondingly different.
This is the genuine Wolverine harness for M249 HPA conversion kits, cut to the right length with the correct connectors for that platform. An M4 loom will not reach, and improvising one is exactly the sort of shortcut that fails halfway through a game day.
Sensible to hold as a spare if you run or service M249 conversions, since it is a low-volume part that suppliers do not always keep deep stock of.

Good to know before you buy
M249-specific. The V2 and V3 harnesses are different lengths with different routing and will not substitute. If you are unsure which conversion kit you have, send us a photo and we will identify it.
Frequently asked questions
Will an M4 harness work instead?
No. The M249 is a longer gun with a different internal routing, and a V2 loom will not reach.
Why would I need a spare?
Support-weapon parts are low volume and not always deeply stocked. If your M249 is a team asset, a spare loom is cheap insurance.
How do I know the harness has failed?
Intermittent firing, cutting out under vibration, or behaviour that changes when the gun is handled. Wiring faults move with the gun.
Can you fit it?
Yes. M249 conversions are more involved than an M4 and we do this work on the bench.
