The AK receiver holds its engine differently from the M4-pattern MTW, and this clip is why. It is not the front clip with a different label — the geometry is its own, and fitting the wrong one either will not seat or will let the engine shift in use.
An engine that moves is an engine that loses its air seal and its nozzle alignment at the same time, and the symptoms read as a hop fault rather than a mounting one.
It is a small stamped part and it is worth having two, because the first one you lose will be inside the receiver.
