The genuine Generation 1 feed tube — for early MTW upper receivers. Identify your generation before ordering; the versions are not interchangeable.

The feed tube guides BBs from the magazine into the hop unit. It is unglamorous and almost never thought about until it cracks, at which point the rifle double-feeds, misfeeds or stops feeding altogether. On a platform as old as the MTW there are now several generations in circulation, and an early rifle needs an early tube.

This is the Generation 1 part. Wolverine changed the design across production years, and the giveaway is the upper receiver rather than anything visible on the tube itself — they publish an identification image of the different uppers precisely because owners cannot tell from the tube in isolation.

One thing worth knowing before you order: depending on which generation your rifle is, an engine retention clip may also be required. It is not included here, and fitting a tube without the clip your receiver expects will not hold the engine correctly.

How do I tell which generation my MTW is? By the upper receiver. Wolverine publish a comparison image for exactly this purpose, and we are happy to check a photo against it for you.

Do the later versions come in different lengths? The later Version 3 tubes are offered in lengths to suit M4, MTW-9 and MTW-308 builds, with the MTW Shotgun sharing a length. This listing is the Generation 1 part only.

Will a cracked tube damage anything else? Not usually, but it will jam and it can shave BBs, so it is worth dealing with promptly rather than playing through it.
