OG Carbon Wolverine MTW Outer Barrel — 14" Forged Carbon

Fourteen inches is a full-length outer barrel. On a Wolverine MTW it produces a platform with a sight radius, a profile, and a handling characteristic closer to a standard rifle than to a compact carbine. For outdoor field use — where engagements happen at longer distances, the extra barrel length contributes to a more complete overall build, and the rifle is carried for a full game day rather than briefly deployed in a building — this is the right choice.

The weight reduction argument is most compelling at 14 inches. A 14" aluminium outer barrel is substantially heavier than a 7" one — more material, more mass, and all of it further forward of the balance point where it matters most. The OG Carbon forged carbon body at this length delivers the greatest absolute weight saving of the three barrel lengths. By the end of a five-hour game day in the field, that saving is felt in the shoulders and wrists in a way that a bench measurement doesn't communicate.

For DMR-style MTW builds — where the platform is intended to operate at longer range with a higher power output — the 14" outer barrel provides the visual proportion that matches the role. A 150mm suppressor on a 14" barrel produces a balanced silhouette. A short suppressor on a 14" barrel looks like an afterthought. If you're building for field use, build the whole front end for field use.
