Two loops, either side, in stamped steel. The rear sling attachment that will outlast the sling you hang on it.

Sling mounts are load-bearing in a way that is easy to forget until one lets go. A rifle on a single point spends the whole day hanging off one attachment, and every time you drop it to transition to a sidearm that plate takes the full weight as a shock load rather than a steady pull. Cast or thin-gauge plates are the usual failure point.

Wolverine's answer is heavy stamped steel with a loop on each side, which does two useful things at once. It survives the abuse, and it removes the handedness problem — you can run a two-point from either shoulder, or clip a single-point on the side that suits your kit layout, without buying a different plate.

Attachment options are deliberately broad. Paraclips, HK-style snap hooks, mash hooks and plain heavy webbing all work, so an existing sling almost certainly attaches without an adapter.

Frequently asked questions

Does the castle nut have to come off to fit it? Yes — the plate sits between the receiver and the castle nut, so the nut is backed off, the plate goes on, and the nut is re-torqued and staked.

Will it foul a stock? Not on a standard MTW arrangement. Some aftermarket stocks sit further forward than the factory one, so check clearance if yours is unusual.

Is it strong enough for a full-weight rifle on a single point? That is what the stamped steel construction is for. It is markedly more substantial than the cast plates found on many AEGs.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Re-stake the castle nut after fitting. A plate that shifts under load is how sling mounts wear their way loose over a season. More at MTW-spec parts and upgrades.
