Wolverine Tech Mat — three designs, one 30 by 16 inch bench. Smooth printed fabric over a rubberised base, so small parts stay where you put them.

Everyone who has stripped a lower receiver on a bare table has spent ten minutes on the floor with a torch afterwards. Detent springs travel a surprising distance, and a bare bench does nothing to stop them.

A rubber-backed mat solves that and two other problems at once: it stops a machined receiver picking up marks from the bench, and it stops solvent and oil going straight into whatever the table is made of.

The three designs are the same mat with different artwork, with one exception worth knowing about. The MTW version is printed as a full parts breakdown of the MTW Billet, MTW Forged and MTW-9, with part numbers and descriptions — so the diagram you need is under the rifle while you work on it. The Heretic Labs design covers the Article I, and Cuddles is the mascot, a heavily armed bear riding a T-Rex.
