- description
A V3 gearbox does not put its trigger where a V2 does, and the space around it is a different shape. That is the whole reason this is a separate part rather than a universal one — the board has to sit where the trigger actually is, wired to reach the loom from that position.
AK conversions tend to live harder lives than M4 ones. They get used in the mud, they get dropped, and the shell takes more flex. Electronics inside one are worth treating as a consumable rather than a lifetime fitment.
Buy it alongside the V3 wire harness if you are doing a full electronics refresh — the two age together and replacing one without the other usually means going back in twice.

Frequently asked questions
Will the V2 board fit instead? No. The two are not interchangeable — the geometry and wiring differ.
Does it suit any AK gearbox? It is made for V3 shells. Check clearance on heavily modified or reinforced shells before ordering.
Should I replace the loom at the same time? If the rifle has seen a few seasons, yes. Going in twice for a five-pound part is a poor use of an evening.
