3K twill is the woven carbon fabric that gave the material its premium reputation. The "3K" refers to the number of carbon filaments per tow (3,000), and the "twill" is the weave pattern — the regular checkerboard look that signals high-end carbon parts at a glance. Mechanically, the woven structure gives consistent strength along both the warp and weft fibre directions. Visually, every panel of 3K twill looks the same: a predictable, ordered pattern.
At 10 inches long and 50mm wide, this is the oversized rail option in Strike Carbon's range — built for builders who want maximum accessory-mounting real estate and a substantial visual presence on the rifle. M-LOK slots run along the length of the rail for lights, lasers, forward grips, and any other M-LOK-compatible accessories. The wider diameter wraps comfortably for full-hand grip without a foregrip if that's your preference.
Mounting uses a 6061 aluminium clamp system — the standard aerospace structural aluminium grade, matched to the loads this handguard sees. The clamp seats firmly against the barrel nut for a no-wobble fit. Compatible with the Strike Carbon 7075 mil-spec barrel nut for a matched precision fit, or with the original Wolverine MTW barrel nut for builders refreshing an existing setup.
Platform compatibility covers Wolverine MTW, Heretic Labs Article I, and AR-spec platforms using a comparable barrel-nut interface. If you're building or refreshing any of these and want the classic 3K twill finish at 10 inches, this is the rail. For the marbled forged carbon look in the same length, see the matching forged version.
