The 10-inch length is for builders who want full forend coverage — enough rail length for a full-length grip-and-light setup, with room for a forward optic, magnifier or sight tower beyond the handguard's end. Paired with a 10-inch outer barrel, the geometry sits in mid-length carbine territory: balanced handling at typical outdoor engagement distances without the front-heavy feel of a true rifle-length build.
The forged carbon construction gives the rail its distinctive marbled, swirl-pattern finish — no two are exactly alike, because the chopped-strand compression moulding process produces randomised fibre orientation. Structurally this gives forged carbon isotropic strength: impact resistance is equally good from any direction, which suits a skirmish handguard that sees knocks and brush contact from unpredictable angles.
Mounting uses a 6061 aluminium clamp system. 6061 is the standard aerospace structural aluminium grade, well-matched to the load this handguard sees. The clamp draws down evenly onto the barrel nut so the rail sits true with no rotational play. M-LOK slots cover the length of the rail for accessory mounting, with bare sections between for clean aesthetics.
Compatibility covers both Wolverine MTW and Heretic Labs Article I — the same handguard fits either platform's barrel-nut interface. AR-spec platforms with comparable barrel nuts are also supported. Barrel nuts are sold separately; the Strike Carbon mil-spec 7075 barrel nut is the matched-fit option.
