The TBS Select — the same slim footprint as the Classic, built a little heavier. A collapsible stock for commercial-spec tubes: 40mm across, 242g, rubber pad and QD loop in the base.

DLG publish the Select at exactly the same 40 by 120mm as the Classic and 27g heavier. They do not say what accounts for the difference, and we would rather tell you that than invent a reason — so take this as the slim DLG stock in its slightly more solid form, and pick between the two on feel rather than on a spec sheet.

What is beyond doubt is what it shares with the rest of the family. The butt pad is moulded rubber rather than a stuck-on cap, which is what stops the stock walking off a shoulder plate when you are moving. The base carries a QD sling socket. And the latch is the two-stage design: slide on the first click, off the tube on the second.

The fit along the tube is engineered as an interference fit, which is DLG’s answer to the wobble that makes a cheap stock feel cheap.

Frequently asked questions

Select or Classic?
Same published dimensions, 27g apart, same price here. DLG do not document what the extra weight buys, so if the number matters to you take the lighter TBS Classic and if it does not, take whichever is in.

Will it go on a mil-spec tube?
No. This is the commercial-spec part and DLG do not make a mil-spec Select. The TBS Sharp is the mil-spec option in this range.

How do I tell which tube I have?
Commercial tubes are a touch fatter and the rear face slopes; mil-spec tubes are slimmer with a square-cut rear. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the back of your gun and we will tell you.

Can I take it off without tools?
Yes. Press the latch past the first detent to the second and the stock lifts off the tube.

Is there a sling point other than the QD?
Yes — DLG list a conventional sling attachment on the commercial-spec stocks alongside the QD loop in the base.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Whichever slim stock you end up with, set the length of pull with your plate carrier on rather than in a t-shirt. It is usually one notch shorter than you think. More in stocks.
