DLG Tactical’s mid-length vertical grip — the one most people mean by “vertical grip”. Picatinny clamp, 103mm of grip, and a screw-off base that hides a cleaning kit or a spare battery.

A vertical grip earns its place by giving your support hand something positive to pull back into, which is what steadies a gun far more than gripping it harder does. DLG’s mid-length is the middle of their three sizes: long enough to get all four fingers on, short enough that it does not foul a magazine change or catch on a doorway.

The body is a moulded polymer with deep horizontal ribbing down both faces and a textured panel through the middle, so it stays put through a wet game without being sharp enough to chew your palm up over a day.

The base unscrews. Inside is a sealed cavity DLG intend for a cleaning kit, and in airsoft it is the obvious place for a spare battery, a few spare BBs or an Allen key — somewhere it will not rattle around a pouch.

Frequently asked questions

How does it compare to the short one?
This is 103mm tall against 77.3mm on the short version. Pick this one if you want your whole hand on the grip; pick the short one if you shoot with a thumb-over-bore hold and only want something to index against.

What does it mount to?
A standard Picatinny or 20mm rail section, with a cross-bolt clamp. Most airsoft handguards with a bottom rail will take it directly; an M-LOK handguard needs a short rail section first.

Is the base compartment actually sealed?
It screws shut rather than clipping, so it will keep a cleaning kit dry in normal play. We would not call it waterproof and neither do DLG — do not store anything in there you would mind getting damp in a downpour.

Will it take a 7.4V battery?
The cavity is 45mm deep and about 30mm across at the widest. A small stick pack will go in; a full-size nunchuck will not. Measure yours before you count on it.

What is the difference between the tan and the black?
Finish only. Same moulding, same weight, same hardware. DLG also make this grip in green, which we do not currently stock — ask if you want one.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: If you run a light on the same rail, fit the grip first and the light second. Clamping a grip over a cable or a pressure pad is how both end up loose. More in grips.
