Short vertical grips do a different job from tall ones. You are not wrapping a hand round this; you are putting a thumb over the top and letting the stub give your support hand a hard stop to drive the gun against. It is the hold most CQB players settle on once they get tired of a long grip catching on everything.
At 82g it is the lightest thing DLG make in this line, and at 77.3mm tall it clears a magwell and a mag change without you thinking about it. The ribbing and the centre texture panel are the same as the longer grips in the family.
The base still unscrews onto a storage cavity, which is a surprise at this size — smaller than the mid-length’s, but enough for an Allen key and a handful of spare BBs.

Frequently asked questions
Is this too small to actually hold?
For a full fist, yes — that is the point. It is sized for a thumb-break or hand-stop hold. If you want to wrap a hand round it, you want the mid-length grip.
Does tan match other tan kit?
DLG call it beige on their own site and tan everywhere else. It is a mid-coyote shade rather than a pale FDE — close enough to most tan furniture to look deliberate, not close enough that we would promise an exact match.
Do you stock it in black?
Not at the moment. DLG make this grip in black, tan and green; our supplier only carries the tan. Tell us if you want one of the others and we will see what can be sourced.
What rail does it need?
Picatinny or 20mm, clamped with a cross-bolt. An M-LOK forend needs a rail section adding first.
How much does it really save over the mid-length?
32g and 26mm. On a light CQB build that is noticeable at the muzzle end; on anything heavier it is a handling preference rather than a weight saving.
