The M51 with the finger button already in the box. Earmor's own description is short and settles it: the M52 is the push-to-talk unit that comes with an M50 finger push button.

The whole difference between Earmor's two single-channel PTTs is the remote switch. The M51 is specified as the version without a finger button; the M52 is the version with one, and Earmor supply the M50 in the box. Electrically and mechanically they carry the same NATO-standard TP-120 headset interface.

That makes the M52 the simpler purchase for anyone who already knows they want the switch out on a rail or a finger. Buying an M51 and adding an M50 separately gets you to the same place; buying the M52 gets you there in one order.

The radio end is a Kenwood two-pin plug, covering Kenwood handhelds, Baofeng and the wide family of budget radios built to the same pattern. A clip holds it to a plate carrier cummerbund, a belt or a shoulder strap, and one European retailer publishes an 840 mm cable, 70 by 45 by 22 millimetres and 115 grams — figures Earmor themselves do not state.

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth the step up from the M51? It depends entirely on whether you want the finger button. That is the only difference Earmor publish between the two units — there is no difference in housing, wiring or interface that any source states.

Which radios use this connector? Kenwood handhelds and the very large number of Baofeng and budget radios built to the same two-pin pattern. Check yours before ordering.

Why are the dimensions flagged? Because Earmor do not publish them. A European retailer does, and we have said so rather than presenting their figures as manufacturer data.

Does it work with Z-Tactical headsets? No. Earmor do not support Z-Tactical compatibility on any of their PTT units.

⚠ The clip is not a mount. A clothing clip holds a PTT in place; it does not survive the unit being used as a handle. Route the cable so a snag pulls the clip off rather than the plug out of the radio.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Tape or hook-and-loop the radio-end plug where it enters the handheld. Almost every dead PTT we see failed at that joint rather than in the button. Comms hardware is in ear protection.
