Electronics survive rain. They do not survive kit bags. A crush-proof hard shell with a waterproof exterior, sized for a headset and its spares.

Ask anyone who has replaced a comms headset why, and the answer is almost never water. It is a crushed boom arm, a snapped headband, a knob sheared off by something heavier landing on top of it in the back of a car. Modern ear-pro shrugs off rain; nothing shrugs off a full kit bag.

Earmor's own description is short and to the point: a portable hard-shell crush-proof carrying case with a waterproof exterior. Retailers add the detail — a moulded interior sized to take spare headbands or a helmet mounting kit alongside the headset, a double-sided zip, and a mesh pocket for batteries and cables.

One retailer publishes 22 by 18 by 11.5 centimetres externally and 384 grams, and a second independently confirms the weight. The material is described as EVA with a waterproof nylon outer by one source and simply nylon by another, so we have quoted both rather than picking.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a waterproof rating? No. Earmor say waterproof exterior and nothing more — no IP code appears in any source we checked. Treat it as splash and rain protection rather than a submersible box.

Will my headset fit? One retailer lists Earmor M31, M32 and M33 plus Peltor and MSA. Earmor themselves name no models. Measure if your cups are unusually deep.

Is it worth it for a cheaper headset? For a passive muff, probably not. For anything with electronics in it, the case costs a fraction of the headset.

Does it fit a headset with the boom attached? Depends on the boom. A flexible arm folds down; a rigid one may not.

Damp kit in a sealed case is worse than damp kit in a bag. A waterproof case keeps water out and it also keeps water in. Dry the headset before it goes away for the winter, and take the batteries out.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Keep a spare set of ear cushions and a pair of AAA cells in the mesh pocket. The case turns into the whole kit rather than just a box.
