The FAT-CAN format is Strike Carbon's wider-bore suppressor family — a 50mm external diameter and 48mm internal diameter, larger than the typical 38mm airsoft suppressor. The benefit of the wider tube is internal volume: more expansion room means a deeper, more dampened report when paired with the matching felt-baffle stack. The 4-inch length is the compact option in the range, sized for builds where overall length matters more than maximum dampening volume.
Construction is the same as the longer 6-inch FAT-CAN: a carbon fibre body bonded to CNC-machined 7075 aerospace aluminium end caps. 7075 is the high-strength structural aluminium grade; relevant here because the muzzle-end cap takes the thread load each time the suppressor is installed or removed. Lower-grade aluminium can deform on the threads after repeated cycles. The full assembly weighs 85g — light enough to not unbalance the rifle, even on short or pistol-style builds.
Thread is 14mm CCW (counter-clockwise), the standard airsoft thread spec for the vast majority of platforms and tracer units. Compatible with the Strike Carbon 48mm felt baffle system for an internally-tuned build. Tracer-unit compatibility means you can fit an Acetech Lighter, Brighter, or equivalent tracer inside the tube for low-light or night-game use.
The 4-inch length is the shorter of the two FAT-CAN sizes. Pick the 4-inch for compact builds, pistol-style HPA configurations, or any setup where keeping the front end short is the priority. For maximum sound dampening, the 6-inch version offers more internal volume.
