The 10-inch length sits in the middle of the Strike Carbon MTW outer-barrel range — long enough to give a useful sight radius and more accessory mounting space than the 7-inch CQB variant, short enough to remain genuinely manoeuvrable. It suits builders who want a balanced rifle that handles well at typical outdoor engagement distances without becoming a true DMR.
Construction uses forged carbon — the process where chopped carbon strands are compression-moulded with resin under high pressure, then CNC-machined to dimension. Visually, this produces the marbled, swirl-pattern finish where every piece is slightly different. Structurally, forged carbon offers different fibre alignment than woven carbon: isotropic strength rather than direction-dependent. The result is a barrel that handles impact loads from any angle equally well.
End fittings are CNC-machined 6061 aluminium — standard aerospace structural grade, matched to the MTW barrel-nut thread specification. The fit is dimensioned for the Wolverine MTW alloy upper specifically, so installation is direct: remove the OEM barrel, fit the carbon replacement, torque to spec.
The 10-inch length is one of two outer-barrel sizes Strike Carbon produces in this series. Pick the 7-inch for CQB and PDW builds where compactness is the priority; pick this 10-inch for a mid-length build that balances handling against sight radius. Both share the same end-fitting design and installation procedure.
