The diamond patch is a centring device. Instead of pressing the BB from above against a flat strip, the geometry cradles it so it is sitting square in the bore before it leaves the chamber, which is what takes the horizontal wander out of a group at distance.
Switching to silicone changes the temperature behaviour rather than the shape. Silicone holds its hardness as conditions cool, so the seal and the hop stay where you set them instead of drifting between a warm afternoon and a cold morning.
This is the 60 degree, which Maple Leaf describe as the sweet spot for standard to high-power sidearms and mid-tier sniper builds. It is cut for unbridged barrels, so check which type your rifle runs before ordering.

Good to know before you buy
Unbridged barrels only. A bridged barrel holds the BB with a lip of its own, and the diamond patch is shaped to do that job itself. Fit it behind a bridge and the two fight each other. Our inner barrels listings state which type each one is.
We list this edition in 60 degree. The maker places that hardness in the middle of the useful range. If your rifle chronographs well above or below that band, a bucking sold across several hardnesses from hop up units and hop rubbers will serve you better.
Diamond or Delta? Both are 2026 reissues in the same compound and the same hardness. The Diamond chases maximum distance; the Delta chases tighter groups at normal engagement ranges. Neither is an upgrade on the other, they are different priorities.
Frequently asked questions
What makes the Diamond patch different?
The contact area is shaped like a diamond rather than a flat pad, which cradles the BB and centres it before it exits the chamber. Maple Leaf credit that centring effect with removing horizontal deviation and tightening groups at longer range.
Will it fit a bridged inner barrel?
It is specified for unbridged barrels. A bridged barrel provides its own BB stop, which duplicates and interferes with what this bucking is designed to do, so match the bucking to the barrel type.
Is 60 degree right for my gun?
Maple Leaf position it for standard to high-power sidearms and mid-tier sniper builds. If you are running a heavily upgraded rifle well above that, tell us your chronograph figure and we will advise rather than guess.
Why silicone rather than rubber?
Silicone keeps its hardness over a much wider temperature range. In practice that means the hop and the air seal behave the same in the cold as they do in the warm, which is where rubber buckings tend to wander.
