The Essentials Large is Nuprol's value-focused rifle case, and the pick and pluck interior is the reason to choose it. The foam comes pre-perforated into small cubes: press out the shape of your rifle, your magazines and your tools, and you end up with a bespoke cradle that holds each item in its own recess.
At 121cm of internal length it takes a long rifle comfortably, and sliding latches keep the lid closed in transit. It is deliberately simpler than the premium cases — the money goes into size and foam rather than weather sealing and heavy hardware.
It also suits kit that is not a rifle at all. Photography gear, tools and delicate electronics all benefit from a custom-cut foam bed, which is why cases like this end up serving well beyond airsoft.

Good to know before you buy
Take your time plucking the foam — pull cubes in small groups and test-fit as you go, because you cannot put them back. Replacement foam is available separately if you need to start over.
