Nuprol Premium Rifle Hard Case — Medium, Large and X-Large

A rifle case has one job on the day and another over the years. On the day it has to survive a boot, a car park and somebody else’s kit landing on top of it. Over the years it has to keep moisture out, because a damp rifle stored in a sealed box is how springs corrode and optics fog internally.

The Premium range is Nuprol’s answer to both. IP67 sealing keeps water and dust out entirely, dual-stage compression latches pull the lid down against the seal rather than just holding it closed, and a pressure relief valve equalises the case when altitude or temperature changes — which is what stops a sealed case becoming impossible to open, or popping its seal, after a flight or a cold night in a van.

Inside, you choose between wave foam, which cushions from both halves and grips whatever you put in with no setup at all, and pick and pluck, which you tear out into a bespoke cradle for a specific rifle and its accessories. Wave suits a case whose contents change; pick and pluck suits a case built around one gun.

Three sizes cover most builds, and 10mm padlock eyelets take a proper lock rather than a token one. Four colours, which matters more than it sounds if several people in your group own the same case.

Good to know before you buy

Select size, foam type and colour before adding to basket. Measure your rifle including any suppressor and choose on internal length rather than external. This is the Premium range — the Essentials cases are cheaper with slide latches, IP65 sealing and 6mm eyelets, and their foam is not interchangeable with these.

Frequently asked questions

What does IP67 actually mean?
Fully sealed against dust and protected against water immersion. In practice it means a case that keeps weather out on a wet game day and stays dry in a garage over winter.

What is the pressure relief valve for?
It equalises internal and external pressure when temperature or altitude changes. Without one, a properly sealed case can become very hard to open after a cold night or a flight.

Wave foam or pick and pluck?
Wave if the contents change — it grips whatever you put in with no setup. Pick and pluck if the case is built around one specific rifle, since you cut a bespoke cradle for it.

How do I choose the size?
Measure your rifle including suppressor and stock, then compare against internal length. Ask us if you are between sizes.

Can I buy replacement foam?
Yes, we stock replacement foam for the Premium range in both styles — useful if you change rifle or plucked the layout wrong.

Is the Premium worth it over the Essentials?
If the case travels, gets wet or stores a gun long term, yes — the sealing, latches and valve are the difference. For occasional car boot use the Essentials is plenty.
