On an F2 the poppet does the same job it does on a Fusion: it governs how much air is released per shot, and therefore how much energy the gun produces. It is the component you change when you want a different output rather than a different feel.
Low-flow restricts that release, which is what brings an engine within UK site energy limits. Fitting one is usually the cleanest way to bring a hot gun down rather than winding the regulator low and living with the consequences.
This is the F2 part specifically — it is not interchangeable with the Fusion poppet, despite the similar name and function. Worth checking which engine you have before ordering.
