Some builds simply have nowhere to put a battery. A skeleton stock, a folding stock, a PDW with the buffer tube full of engine, or a rifle where the handguard is already packed with accessories. The standard answer is to move the power outside the gun and hide it in a PEQ box on the rail.
That only works if the pack is the right shape, and a normal stick usually is not. These are sized for the internal dimensions of PEQ and AN/PEQ-15 style boxes, so the box closes properly and the lid is not straining against the cells.
It is a genuinely tidy solution. The battery sits out of the gearbox area entirely, so swapping packs mid-game means opening a box rather than dismantling a handguard, and the PEQ box looks like it belongs on a tactical build rather than an obvious battery bulge.
Two capacities: 1500mAh at 7.4V for smooth running and more run-time, or 1300mAh at 11.1V for a sharper trigger. Both in Deans or Mini Tamiya.
Which one do I need?
| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| 7.4v 1500mAh 20C | More capacity and the gentler option. Best for standard guns and longer run-time. |
| 11.1v 1300mAh 20C | Sharper trigger response and higher rate of fire, for guns rated for 11.1V. |
| Deans - T Plug | Upgraded or MOSFET-equipped guns, usually rewired to Deans. |
| Mini Tamiya | Factory wiring, which is what most stock AEGs use. |

Good to know before you buy
You need a PEQ or AN/PEQ-15 style box with an internal battery compartment, and enough rail to mount it. Box internal dimensions vary between makers, so measure an unusual one or ask us first. Remember the lead has to route from the box into the receiver, so plan the wire run. If your gun does have internal space after all, the stick range is cheaper and simpler.
Frequently asked questions
What is a PEQ battery for?
Builds with no usable battery space inside them. The pack lives in a PEQ box on the rail instead, connected by a lead running into the gun.
Will it fit any PEQ box?
It is sized for common PEQ and AN/PEQ-15 patterns, but internal dimensions vary between manufacturers. Measure your box, or send us the model and we will check.
Does the PEQ box come with it?
No, this is the battery only. The box is a separate accessory.
How does the wire get into the gun?
Most PEQ boxes have a cable exit, and the lead routes along the rail into the receiver or handguard. Worth planning that before committing to a mounting position.
7.4V or 11.1V here?
Same rule as any AEG pack. 7.4V for a standard gun and more capacity; 11.1V for a faster trigger in a gun built to handle it.
