Tokyo Marui produce this PDW in two finishes, and the choice between them is purely cosmetic: nothing inside the gun changes. Black reads as police or protection detail. The tan body suits an arid-theatre impression, sits naturally alongside coyote and multicam kit, and is the one to pick if your loadout is built around desert webbing rather than urban black. Outdoors in dry scrub it is also, for what it is worth, marginally harder to pick out against the ground than a black receiver.
Everything mechanical carries over. A piston of around 16mm drives the bolt backwards on every shot, giving a recoil pulse far above what the gas consumption would suggest; Tokyo Marui rate the draw as comparable to one of their handguns. Lifting the trigger reveals the hop adjuster within the ejection port — a design Tokyo Marui have filed a patent application on — so no dial breaks the outline of the receiver. The last shot leaves the bolt held to the rear.
The furniture is unchanged too. Four stock positions, a foregrip that folds flush, detachable KSK irons adjustable for elevation at the front and windage at the rear, and three 20mm metal rails. Selector and magazine catch are reachable left or right. One caveat on the finish: a tan polymer body shows scuffing and transferred paint more readily than black does, so a gun that lives in a hard case between games will hold its appearance considerably better than one thrown in the boot.
