AK-pattern magazines look interchangeable and are not, and that is especially true across VFC's gas AK range. The Vityaz is a 9mm submachine gun in the real world, so its magazine is a different body to a 5.45 rifle magazine, and the gas gun follows the real geometry. This is the one built for it.
Thirty-five rounds is a realistic capacity rather than a high-capacity compromise, which suits the gun: the Vityaz was never a hundred-round platform and the reload is part of how it plays. In practice that means carrying more magazines rather than fewer, so plan on three or four if you intend to use the gun for a full day.
As with any gas magazine, temperature governs how much work it does. A warm magazine delivers its full string; a cold one tails off before it is empty. Rotating spares out of an inside pocket is the cheapest way to keep a gas gun shooting consistently through a winter game.

Good to know
Will it fit a VFC AK74M or AKS74U? No. The Vityaz is its own platform and the magazine is specific to it.
How many do I need? Three or four for a full day at 35 rounds each. Gas magazines are both ammunition and fuel, so they empty quicker than you expect.
Is it steel or polymer? It is the magazine VFC supply for this gun. We have not seen a published material specification, so ask us if the construction matters to you and we will check before you order.
Can I use CO2? It is specified for green gas. Do not substitute a higher pressure propellant without establishing the gun is rated for it.
