The VMP-2MD is Vorsk's "recce rifle" — a close cousin of the full VMP-2D DMR but tuned for marksmen who want to stay mobile rather than dig in. Where the VMP-2D commits to a fixed marksman stock and the longest barrel/handguard combination, the VMP-2MD borrows the VMP-2M's 6-position retractable stock (with optional cheek-riser slots) and runs a slightly shorter handguard and barrel for a lighter, more agile platform. The fire control group is locked to semi-auto only and the gas system is tuned to a DMR-appropriate 1.75J / ~430 FPS on 0.20g, so this is an aimed-shot rifle, not a suppressive-fire weapon.
The premise is the marksman who actually has to move during a game — the player who'll engage at distance for a couple of minutes, then displace and reposition before the opposition can locate them. The retractable stock can be compressed for movement through tight terrain or extended fully for a stable shouldered position when the engagement starts. The cheek riser slots (riser sold separately) raise the cheek weld to scope height for proper sight alignment. The M-LOK handguard takes a bipod, foregrip, light, or laser as needed.
The platform shares the VMP-2 series' modular DNA: CNC aluminium upper mated to a HIPS polymer lower, M4-spec buffer-tube interface, AR-15 GBBR-compatible pistol grip, TDC/VSR rotary hop accessed from the flat-top rail. The 5-lug Vorsk flash hider mounts the VMP "Can" suppressor and underneath the standard 14mm CCW thread accepts any aftermarket suppressor or tracer. As with the rest of the VMP-2 line, trigger groups, nozzles, and barrels can be swapped, so a player who wants to convert their VMP-2MD into a CQB platform can do so without buying a second gun.
