The VMP-2D is Vorsk's full designated-marksman build — the variant that commits fully to the long-range role rather than balancing it against mobility. The 16-inch outer barrel gives the inner barrel time and length to stabilise the projectile properly, and the fixed marksman-style stock with adjustable cheek riser establishes a stable, repeatable shooting platform that the retractable-stock variants can't quite match. The fire control group is locked to semi-only and the gas system is tuned to 1.9J / ~450 FPS on 0.20g — the highest power tier in the VMP family.
The handguard is a long square-profile design with 6 accessory slots distributed across the 3, 6, and 9 positions — useful real estate for a bipod up front, an angled foregrip for off-hand support, and a flashlight or laser if your site allows. A 20mm Picatinny top rail runs the full length of the handguard, but note that the receiver-rail and handguard-rail surfaces are separated by the TDC hop unit — that's the trade-off for having a tool-less external hop adjuster on a DMR-power gas rifle. Pre-installed fibre iron sights with green inserts are removable when you fit a scope, which most VMP-2D users will. A 1-10× LPVO or a fixed 4×/6× scope suits the platform's mid-to-long range remit.
Internally it's the same VMP-2 architecture as the rest of the line — CNC aluminium upper, HIPS polymer lower, AR-15 GBBR-compatible pistol grip, M4-spec buffer-tube interface — but with a higher-power nozzle, a longer inner barrel, and a semi-only trigger group. The 5-lug Vorsk flash hider mounts the VMP "Can" suppressor and underneath the 14mm CCW thread accepts any aftermarket can or tracer. The 20-round precision magazine that ships as standard reflects the platform's role: aimed shots, careful trigger discipline, and economy of fire over volume.
