AK platforms have always been the poor relation in HPA conversions. Most engines are built around the V2 M4 gearbox and AK owners are left adapting, improvising or going without. This is the version Wolverine built specifically for the V3 gearbox, so it fits properly rather than approximately.
The INFERNO Gen 2 is a hybrid design, and that word is doing real work. Open-bolt engines are easy to tune, efficient and never dry-fire the first round; closed-bolt engines make hop-up tuning far simpler. The Gen 2 uses a patented independent poppet and nozzle arrangement to get both — the pause between BB loading and BB firing is what delivers consistent velocity and better hop-up performance at the same time.
It is a single solenoid system, which keeps it simpler to set up than dual-solenoid engines, and Wolverine estimate it is 10–15% more efficient than their previous generation. On an AK running a mid-cap loadout, that efficiency shows up as more magazines per fill.
This version ships with the Gen 2 Premium FCU — the fuller-featured control unit, giving deeper configuration than the Spartan board. Everything needed to install it in a V3 gearbox is included.

Good to know before you buy
V3 AK gearboxes only. If you are converting an M4-pattern rifle you want the V2 version — we stock that in Premium, Spartan and XTS.
You will also need a tank, regulator, line and a small battery. The engine handles the rest.
Fitting means opening the gearbox and rewiring the trigger. We do HPA conversions on the bench, chronographed before they go back.
Frequently asked questions
What does hybrid actually mean here?

Will it fit my AK?
