Anyone who has run a support gun on hi-caps knows the real cost is not the money, it is the winding. Two eight-hundred-round magazines is a genuinely tedious job between games, and it is the reason most people with a squad automatic end up here eventually.
This one holds three and a half thousand rounds and winds under its own power. There is an automatic mode that simply keeps the feed under tension, and a sound-control mode that winds when it hears the gearbox running, so the drum only works when the gun does. A 9V battery lives inside the drum and is not supplied with it.
It is built for AK pattern magazine wells, which is the family the RPK belongs to, so a support build on an AK receiver is the intended home for it.

Frequently asked questions
How does sound control work? A microphone in the drum listens for the gearbox cycling and winds the feed while it hears it. Stop firing and the drum stops winding.
Is a battery included? No. It takes a 9V battery, which sits inside the drum body, and you will need to supply it.
Will it fit an RPK? It is an AK pattern drum and the RPK uses AK pattern magazines, which is why it is listed for both. As with any drum, seat it before a game rather than on the firing line.
Can I still use it if the battery dies? Treat the battery as part of the kit and carry a spare. A drum this size depends on the motor to keep the stack moving.
