If you have worn an i4 and the only thing you would change is how it is held on, this is that change made. Everything forward of the strap is the mask you know: slim, light, generous on ventilation and wide through the eyeline.
The GSR Pro strap is a dial rather than a pull-tab. You turn the knob and the mask closes onto your face evenly, so you can set the tension once and leave it rather than re-tightening it every time the webbing creeps. The head pad behind it is deliberately oversized — DYE spread the load across a wider area of the back of the skull, which is what stops the mask walking up your face when you run.
That is the whole of the difference, and it is honest to say so. Lens, venting, fit and certification are all the i4’s.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly does the Pro add over the standard i4?
The GSR Pro strap and its head pad, which DYE carry across from the i5. The mask shell, the lens, the venting and the ASTM certification are unchanged from the DYE i4.
Is the GSR strap worth the difference on its own?
If you have ever finished a game pushing your mask back down, yes. A dial holds a set tension where webbing slips. If your current i4 sits fine and stays put, you are paying for something you already have solved.
Does it use the same lenses as the i4 and i5?
Yes — the whole i4/i5 thermal lenses range drops in.
Which colourways are these?
DYE name them rather than describe them: SRGNT is black and olive, SEATEC black and blue, MELTDOWN black and red, SHADOW black and grey.
Can I buy replacement foam for it?
The i4 foam set fits the Pro, since the mask body is the same. It is listed as the i4 foam kit.
