Electronic ear-pro exists so you can still hear callouts. If that is not the problem you are solving — a pyro-heavy game day, a loud indoor site, an afternoon on the range where the radio does the talking — a passive muff protects better, costs less and cannot go flat at midday.

Earmor build the M300L around a multi-layer cup rather than a single shell. Sound-absorbing foam with densely packed pores takes the first bite out of the noise, and a damping ring in the centre of the cup cuts the structural resonance that makes thin-shelled muffs ring. Each layer takes a little more out, which is how it reaches SNR 33.

The cups fold inward on adjustable rails, so it packs flat rather than hanging off a carabiner. Sponge cushions, not gel — the trade Earmor made to keep the weight and the price down.

Frequently asked questions

Is it better than the electronic models? For raw attenuation, yes — SNR 33 against SNR 29 for the M300A and M300T. What it cannot do is let you hear anything else while it is on.

I have seen SNR 31 quoted elsewhere. Which is right? Earmor's own family comparison chart says SNR 33; one European retailer publishes SNR 31. Both agree on NRR 27. We quote the manufacturer's figure and flag the discrepancy rather than hide it.

Will I hear callouts on the field? Not well, and that is the trade. If you play a comms-heavy game or need to hear movement, an electronic model with ambient pickup is the right buy.

Are the cushions replaceable? The M300L uses sponge cushions. Earmor's S32B gel pads are catalogued for the M300 series, so check the fit against your own cups before ordering.

⚠ Hearing damage from impulse noise does not announce itself. Pyro and real-steel muzzle blast do their work in milliseconds, long before anything sounds painful. Put the muffs on before the pyro comes out, not after.
