The EVE-4 is the shorter, lighter half of KWA's Originals line. At 4.6lb and 21 to 26 inches it is genuinely compact — light enough to carry all day and short enough to work in the sort of buildings where a full carbine becomes a liability.
That weight comes from a high-strength polymer receiver set and handguard rather than from cutting corners internally. The AEG2.5+ VPS gearbox inside is the same one KWA fit to the TK.45c, Ronin T6, QRF Mod series and Ronin 47 — the platform their durability reputation is built on.
VPS gives you 330 to 380 FPS, adjusted externally without opening the gearbox. Combined with a rate of fire above 18 RPS, that covers a CQB site on Saturday and a woodland game on Sunday from the same rifle. There is also a switch life extender fitted as standard, which exists specifically to stop the trigger contacts burning out — the failure that eventually kills most stock gearboxes.
The side charging handle is reversible, which along with fully ambidextrous fire controls makes this a genuinely left-hand-friendly gun rather than one that merely tolerates left-handed shooters.
KWA also put a sensible amount in the box: a vertical grip, a two-port stubby brake, two four-slot Picatinny rail sections and a compact BB speedloader. That is most of what a new player would otherwise buy separately in their first month.

Good to know before you buy
Stock is down to the last unit. A realistic imitation firearm, so a valid UKARA registration or other defence is needed at checkout. The bundled speedloader and rail sections make it a stronger package than the price suggests, though you will still need a battery, charger, BBs and magazines. If you want the longer, heavier version, that is the EVE-9.
Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from the EVE-9?
The EVE-4 is shorter and a full pound lighter at 4.6lb against 5.6lb, with a shorter K.O.R.E 4 rail. The EVE-9 has a 9in handguard and a longer barrel. Both use the same AEG2.5+ VPS gearbox.
What FPS does it shoot?
330 to 380, adjustable externally through VPS without opening the gearbox — so it can meet a CQB limit or an outdoor one from the same gun.
Is it left-hand friendly?
Genuinely so. The side charging handle reverses and the fire controls are ambidextrous, rather than the gun simply being usable left-handed with compromises.
What is the switch life extender?
A component that protects the trigger contacts from arcing and burning out. Contact failure is one of the most common ways a stock gearbox dies, so having it fitted as standard matters.
What comes in the box?
Rifle, vertical grip, two-port stubby brake, two four-slot Picatinny rail sections and a compact BB speedloader. You will still need a battery, charger, BBs and magazines.
Do I need UKARA?
Yes — UKARA registration or another valid defence, verified at checkout.
UKARA: As a realistic imitation firearm, this product requires UKARA registration or a valid defence. We verify at checkout. Register by playing 3 games over 56+ days at Skirmish Wycombe Airsoft.
