This is the one that carries your comms. A U-174 military-standard downlead, a detachable condenser microphone, eight steps of ambient control, and a shielded signal path.

The M32 Plus is Earmor's digital noise-cancelling platform with the comms hardware fitted as standard rather than bolted on. The downlead terminates in a U-174 connector built to military spec, which is what NATO-standard push-to-talk units expect — including Earmor's own M51 and M52.

The microphone is a high-sensitivity condenser on an adjustable boom, and it detaches entirely. That matters more than it sounds: run it as a comms headset on a team day, pull the boom off and it is a clean pair of electronic muffs for the range, with no arm to catch on a cheek weld.

Ambient control is where the Plus separates itself. Five ambient volume levels cover the spread from a quiet wood to an indoor site, and three further enhancement levels in earplug mode push the pickup harder when you need to track movement you would otherwise miss.

The part nobody advertises and everybody needs is the EM/RFI shielding. A field full of radios, tracers and phone signal is a hostile environment for an unshielded audio line; Earmor build an electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference shield into the headset so transmission stays clean. Gel cushions, sweat-resistant and sealed against leakage, carry it over a long day.

Certified to ANSI S3.19-1974 and the full EN 352-1, -4, -6 and -8:2020 set — the four parts covering earmuffs, level-dependent function, electrical audio input and safety-signal audibility.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to actually transmit? A PTT that matches your radio. The M52 for Kenwood and Baofeng covers the most common handhelds on UK sites; the M56 Dual-Comm runs two radios at once.

Why is no weight listed? Because the two sources we trust disagree — one retailer says 350 g, another 400 g without batteries, and Earmor publish nothing. We would rather leave the row out than pick a number.

Can I mount it to a helmet? Yes. Earmor's catalogue lists the M16A ARC kit and the M16A M-LOK adaptor for the Mark4 and PLUS series, which is this headset.

How long does the battery really last? Earmor's own manual says up to 200 hours; a distributor quotes around 350. We publish the manual figure.
