NRR 24, no batteries, and cheap enough to buy three. The pair you keep in the car, lend to a mate who turned up without any, and hand out to a rental fleet.

Not every situation needs a processing chip. A spare set for the car, ear-pro for a guest, a pair for the workshop bench — these are the jobs the M06A does, and it does them without a battery, a charge cable or a setting to get wrong.

At NRR 24 it is not a budget compromise on protection either. That sits above the electronic M300A and M300T at NRR 22, and only three decibels under the M300L. What you give up is awareness, not attenuation.

The cups are polymer over a metal-reinforced headband with a soft synthetic leather cover, and the cushions carry gel inserts rather than plain foam — unusual at this price and the reason the seal holds up over a longer session. Low-profile earcups keep it compatible with helmets, safety glasses and the rest of a setup rather than fighting them.

Tested to CE, ANSI S3.19-1974 and EN 352-1:2002.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really rated higher than the electronic models? On raw attenuation, yes. NRR 24 against NRR 22 for the M300A and M300T. The electronic models buy you the ability to hear the game while protected, which passive muffs cannot do at any price.

Will it fit a smaller head? The headband adjusts across a normal adult range. Very small heads may not get a reliable seal, and a poor seal is worth very little.

Can I replace the cushions? Earmor's catalogued replacement cushions are matched to the M300, M33 and Mark4/PLUS families. The M06A is not named in that table, so check before ordering rather than assuming.

Is gel worth having at this price? It seals better over glasses and stays comfortable longer than plain foam. On a muff this cheap it is the detail that surprises people.

Cheap protection worn beats good protection in a bag. The commonest hearing-protection failure on a site is not a bad muff, it is nobody wearing one. Keeping spares in the car solves more problems than upgrading does.
💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: Buy two colours if they are going in a shared kit box — it saves the argument about whose is whose. The rest of the passive range is in ear protection.
