The Article line is built around taking weight out. The Article 3 keeps that and gives back the one thing the pistol-format ones give up, which is a shoulder point. At 2.4lb with the stock fitted it still weighs less than most bare AEG bodies.
Underneath it is an INFERNO Gen 2 running Heretic Labs programming, which is where the binary mode comes from. The board offers semi, burst, full auto and binary, and the engine takes 60 to 140 psi with the rate of fire adjustable from 5 to 35 rounds a second.
The trigger is the part people notice. A CNC speed trigger on a low-friction bearing with travel adjustment, which on a binary setup matters more than it does anywhere else — a short, repeatable break is what makes two shots per pull useful rather than messy.

Good to know
The stock is a two-part assembly and that is deliberate. The carbon shoulder section bolts to a 1in drop stock adapter, which sets the shoulder point an inch lower than a straight buffer tube would — a flatter cheek weld and less head lift when you are moving. Wolverine quote the pair at 7.75in and 5.2oz together.
A Picatinny stock adapter with a QD point comes in the box as well, so if you would rather run a different stock, a brace or nothing at all, you can swap to it without buying a part. That is the mount the stockless Articles use.
Frequently asked questions
What does binary mode actually do? One shot on the pull and one on the release. It roughly doubles your semi-auto output without the gun being on full auto, which is why speedsoft players want it.
Can I use my MTW parts on it? Yes. It is built to MTW-Spec, so MTW-Spec components and a lot of real-steel AR parts drop straight on.
What pressure does it want? 60 to 140 psi into the engine. Set the regulator inside that and tune velocity from there.
Does the stock come off? Yes. It sits on a 1in drop stock adapter, and a Picatinny stock adapter with a QD point is supplied as well if you want to mount something else.
Is a battery included? Plan on supplying one. The board takes a 6 to 8V JST — ask us if you want it confirmed before ordering.
