📖 New to HPA? This runs on external high pressure air — it needs a tank, a regulator and a line before it will fire a shot. Read our complete HPA guide before buying.
A gun that sets to an indoor limit without being soft outdoors. Wolverine put the Article I’s energy between roughly 0.8 and 1.65 joules, which covers almost every UK site from a CQB hall upward. This one wears the Ultramarine finish.

Most guns give you one number and a chrono argument. The Article I gives a band, and a wide one — about 0.8 joules at the bottom and 1.65 at the top. The bottom of that is under any CQB limit in the country and the top is enough for a normal outdoor skirmish, so one gun covers both without a trip to a tech.

You move within the band on the regulator, and the engine behind it is a blacked-out INFERNO Gen 2 carrying Heretic Labs programming with binary fire. Rate of fire is separately adjustable between 5 and 35 rounds a second, so power and volume are two different dials rather than one compromise.

The rest is the Article I as standard: a skeletonised billet receiver, a carbon fibre outer barrel over a 150mm inner, 0.95kg on the scales and nothing behind the receiver at all. Ultramarine is one of the finishes Wolverine define for the range.

Good to know

The energy figure Wolverine give is described as an estimate, which is honest of them — where you actually land depends on your regulator, your BB weight and the hop. Chrono it rather than trusting the band.

Figures missing from Wolverine’s page: bore, overall length, what is in the box, rounds per bottle, and battery inclusion.

Frequently asked questions

Will it pass a 350fps CQB limit? The bottom of the range is around 0.8 joules, which sits under the usual indoor limits. Set it there and chrono on the day to be certain.

Is it still usable outdoors? At the top of the band, yes. 1.65 joules is a normal outdoor skirmish figure for a short gun.

How do I change the energy? On the regulator. Nothing inside the gun needs touching.

Does changing energy change the rate of fire? They adjust separately — rate of fire is set on the board, anywhere from 5 to 35 rounds a second.

Is Ultramarine a different gun? No. Same engine, same receiver, same barrel. Finish only.

⚠ Always run a secondary regulator. Never put tank pressure straight into the engine. Set your output before you shoot, and chrono at the site every time.

💡 Titan Forge Airsoft tip: One gun for indoors and out is the argument here, and a decent regulator is what makes that real. Browse HPA rifles for the rest.
