Six BBs at a time, up to six times a second. The Gen-12 is a genuine shotgun build rather than a rifle with a wide nozzle. A HAVOC 6 engine throws six BBs per shot through a Genesis Arms licensed DPMS receiver set, fed from a 140-round magazine.

An airsoft shotgun usually means a spring-fed tube you pump between shots. This is the opposite problem solved properly: the HAVOC 6 is a dedicated multi-shot HPA engine, so you get a true six-pellet pattern with semi, burst and full-auto behind it, and no pumping at all.

Energy is set per BB rather than per shot, which is the number that matters at a chrono. Wolverine make it adjustable from 0.6 to 1.1 joule per pellet, so you can bring the gun inside a site limit that is written for single-shot guns and still put six of them downrange at once.

The receiver set is CNC machined aluminium in the DPMS pattern with a black anodised finish, licensed from Genesis Arms, and the lower is cut to accept a PDW stock. A spring-loaded mock bolt carrier group with a right-hand charging knob gives it something to do when you rack it, and the furniture is a plain A2 grip and stock.

One thing to understand before you buy: this is a platform of its own. Wolverine describe MTW-Spec compatibility as limited, and the hop, bucking, rail and muzzle devices are Gen-12 parts rather than the M4 components the rest of the range shares. The magazine is a 140-round MTW-Spec 308 unit with empty-mag detection.

Frequently asked questions

Will my site allow it? Most will, because energy is set per BB and 0.6 to 1.1 joule is well inside a normal limit. Declare it as a shotgun at the chrono and let them measure a single pellet.

How many shots do I get from a magazine? 140 rounds divided by six is about twenty-three trigger pulls. Carry more magazines than you would for a rifle. The PTS EPM-LR SR25 fits it as well, if you would rather buy those.

Can I use my MTW upgrade parts? Mostly not. Wolverine state MTW-Spec compatibility is limited on the Gen-12, and the hop, bucking, rail and muzzle devices are platform-specific. Ask us before buying anything for it.

Can I put a 14mm tracer on it? Not as a given. Muzzle devices on the Gen-12 are its own standard rather than the 14mm negative the M4 range uses, so check with us before ordering.

Does it need a different regulator? No. It runs in the same 80 to 140 PSI window as the M4 guns, so a standard secondary regulator is right. It will use more air per shot, because it is moving six BBs.

Is full-auto six BBs at a time? Yes, up to six shots a second. That is a lot of BBs and a lot of air, so it is worth setting a rate you can actually feed.
