A 9mm PCC is a specific answer to a specific problem: buildings, corridors and any game where a full-length carbine spends its day catching on door frames. The MTW-9 is Wolverine's take on it, and the Standard Edition is the version stripped back to what the platform actually needs rather than everything it can carry.
What you are not giving up is the engine. This runs the INFERNO Gen 2, the same hybrid open and closed bolt design that underpins the rest of the range, adjustable across 80 to 140 PSI so muzzle energy can be set to whatever your site requires rather than fixed at the factory.
Magazine choice is the other reason people take the platform seriously. It feeds ASG Scorpion EVO magazines at 75 rounds and PTS EPM E9s at 110, both widely available and cheap enough to buy in numbers, and empty-mag detection works with both. A PTS EPM E9 comes in the box.
At 1.3kg it is light enough that the handling advantage is real rather than theoretical. Paired with the 7-inch Invictus MK-1 M-LOK rail it points the way a PDW should, and stays out of your way when you are moving through a structure.

Frequently asked questions
How does this differ from the MTW-9 PDW XB? The Standard is the entry configuration. The PDW XB adds the INFERNO XTS engine and the BLINC Bluetooth FCU, swaps the Picatinny adapter for a Laylax folding stock, and weighs 3.5lb against this one's 2.9lb.
Are Scorpion EVO magazines really cross-compatible? Yes. Wolverine specify both ASG Scorpion EVO and PTS EPM E9 magazines and state that empty-mag detection works with either, which is why running costs on this platform compare well with proprietary alternatives.
Can the muzzle energy be set for my site limit? Yes. Output is adjustable through the pressure range, and we can set it before it leaves us if you tell us your site limit.
Can I upgrade it with MTW parts? Yes. The engine, the hop body and the inner barrel are all MTW-Spec, so the wider parts range fits, and real-steel AR grips and buffer tubes bolt straight on.
Is a 208mm barrel long enough? For the distances a PCC is used at, comfortably. Hop and bucking set-up will make far more difference than barrel length inside a building.
